Exhibition space for the year's main architectural award! The Moscow City Award for Architecture and Urban Planning, supported by Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

Every year, the award features capital construction projects that received Architectural and Urban Planning Solution (AGR) approval during the previous year. The award ceremony takes place in the courtyard of the Shchusev State Museum of Architecture. Our task was to design a pavilion to organize the exhibition space for 50 works of the Moscow Architectural Award in the museum courtyard. The exhibition is installed for one evening only.

Our installation for the Award’s exhibition space is designed as a layered cubic object. The exterior of the cube incorporates motifs from the award’s symbol. While the object appears solid, structural, and clean from the outside, the exhibition itself is intended to be viewed from within. The installation is permeable from all four sides, transforming the geometry of the cube into a series of labyrinths.
